Common questions
-
Nope! This is a face massage — not a skincare treatment. There’s no cleansing, exfoliating, or extractions involved. It’s focused on relieving tension, increasing circulation, and helping you feel more grounded.
-
Only a light, nourishing oil or balm — nothing heavy or fragranced. Everything I use is gentle and safe for sensitive skin, and I can always adjust based on your needs.
-
While I don’t specifically treat TMJ dysfunction, this massage can help reduce tension around the jaw, temples, and scalp — especially if you tend to clench or grind due to stress.
-
Right now, this treatment is available only as an add-on to your massage. I may offer longer, stand-alone sessions in the future as I expand my training.
-
It’s a short but soothing experience — about 5–7 minutes while your scalp absorbs the herbal oil and the warm towel helps lock in the benefits.
-
Possibly a little — think soft, tousled, and hydrated. I always check with you before applying oil, and we can skip the product if you prefer to skip the scalp and focus just on the face. Prepare to leave with your hair a little oily.
-
Before your session:
You don’t need to do anything fancy, but gently brushing your hair beforehand helps me access your scalp more effectively.
If your hair is up in a messy bun or heavily tangled, it can make it harder to use the gua sha scalp combs or apply oil evenly. I won't be brushing hair — this helps us make the most of our time together.
-
After your session:
The herbal scalp oil is nourishing and safe to leave in — some clients like to let it soak in for the rest of the day.
If you do choose to wash your hair later, a little tip some people find helpful: applying shampoo before adding water can sometimes help remove the oil more effectively. Totally optional — do what feels best for your hair and routine.
There’s no need to rush. This treatment is meant to leave you grounded, glowy, and relaxed from head to toe.
