What to Expect During Infrared Light Therapy

    • For integrated sessions: The infrared light will be positioned over the area being treated while your massage continues.

    • For stand-alone sessions: Your therapist will set up the infrared light, step out of the room for 20 minutes, and return to begin your massage once the light therapy concludes.

  • Infrared light therapy works best on bare skin to ensure maximum absorption. You may undress completely or keep certain areas covered with the sheet, depending on your comfort level.

    • Stand-alone sessions last 20 minutes before your massage.

    • Integrated sessions last the duration of the massage in the targeted area.

  • During stand-alone sessions, you can meditate, listen to music, or simply rest in a private and calming environment. For integrated sessions, you’ll enjoy the combined soothing benefits of massage and light therapy simultaneously.

  • Infrared light therapy is safe for most individuals. However, it’s not recommended if you:

    • Are pregnant.

    • Have active skin infections, burns, or wounds.

    • Are taking photosensitive medications.

    • Have certain medical implants, such as pacemakers, without prior doctor approval.
